So I played another session today, I ran pretty solid and managed to make around 1200. This coming after a so-so play that got me stacked at the beginning of the session. Here’s the so-so hand. Before i show, I just wanna say i think that this is putting me in the most likely spot to get stacked, I just had seen this player float check-raises light before. In all honesty it prolly doesn’t matter as i likely go bust here…

Alright, PT3 Tomorrow! I’m excited. Finally i get to use the damn thing like its meant to be used. Its an amazing program and i preordered the first day. So i’m very excited about this change.

I am going to be doing a week long adventure in vegas during the world series this year. I want to be there to play in the June 14th, 21st, or 28th $1500 event.

I’ve been playing very well the last two days. I am at work at the moment so i don’t have access to my graphs and stats, but here’s the jest of it.

Monday: I was up $500 when i decided it was dinner time and i was done with my session. I uncheck the ‘auto-post’ and waiting for the tables to end. I run into 3 shitty spots. One being a QQ hand deep against Deeznuts105 where had to fold after putting in $200. The next being JJ vs. a $250 stack donk. I took the lead in the hand, and got check raised allin on the flop of T94. I insta-called as his range is very wide, he flips up QQ. And another full buyin where i get stacked with set over set. Well that’s LAME! In the last rotation around the table i went from +500 to -$400! I even play more passive when i’ve decided to sit out typically, only playing the monsters. And it would seem that my monsters jsut got killed in this case. Anyways, so my session ended on schedule, but not quite the way I had imagined, as i had already booked a win.

Yesterday: I played 2/4 again. Very solid day. All around solid play. I ended up booking a +1600 win. I only had one marginal spot in a nothing pot. The hand went as follows: One limper from mid-position and the SB limps and i check J6 in the BB. Flop is Js83s rainbow. Sb checks, and i lead out $12 (which is pot). I get insta-called by the limper. Hellooooo draw. turn comes an offsuit 9. I am now thinking, this player has to call a bet on turn with 9T and likely still calls with a flush draw. I bet $32 into a $36 pot on turn. I get insta-called again. OK, so now i’m positive he’s on a draw. River comes an offsuit Q. I decide that’s a bad card as it makes 9T and any Qhigh flush draw beat me. I check and decide to assess his bet. He bets $72! This just doesn’t make sense given his line. This board is so scary he’d likely value bet a straight much smaller hoping to get a call from a pair or 2-pair. I assume he knows that i can easily fold 2-pair to this sized bet. So i start ruling out a straight. I can also pretty much rule out a Q as he would likely just check behind as to not get check raised by a straight. With all this considered, this looks like a bluff. I start thinking there’s no hand that beats me in his range that makes this bet unless its the utter nuts of KT. That doesn’t make sense for his line of calling 2-bets either. So decide to call, and he flips up 9T which i think he made a great bet on the river. I honestly expected him to show up an Ahigh missed flush draw and muck after i show my hero’s call.

Anyways that’s been my last 2-days. Overall, very solid play and i’m happy with myself finally running well again.

So Just got back from my brothers graduation in auburn, AL. It was alot of fun and i finally got to see my parents drunk which was a first for me in my 24 years. We had a blast went out and had alot of family time with me, my sis, my bro and my parents. It was a nice relaxing time. I finally talked to my dad about going pro and he was surprisingly very for it, I think he knows how well i always think stuff out.

So i explained my plan and he was all for it. So hopefully in august I have enough money in savings and online poker is still going. Which on a sidenote completely, Full Tilt is scaring the shit outta me. My cashouts haven’t been happening. I had 2 pending and its been over a month, and they just gave me some bullshit $300 bonus for waiting. My money still isn’t in. Don’t give me a bonus… give me my f-ing money. /rant

So here’s to hoping i have $45k in the bank plus a 25k bankroll in the next 3 months. I’m honestly not too far away from that tho. Another 2 months of running good and I’ll have the bank account aspect and that’s the only part i need. Anyways, unto finally breaking my slump.

I took friday off from work because my sister was coming in at noon and we needed to leave to go to my bro’s graduation this weekend. So wake up around 9am and fire up tables. I felt like playing 2/4nl and decided i’d stop being such a baby and actually play the limit i’m more than rolled for. Oh and this happened!

Everything went my way for once. Stuff that shouldn’t have gone my way went my way. I sucked out for $300 or so of the money and played good poker for the rest. I’ll post some hands now. I don’t feel like commenting on them however, so feel free to making comments about them, if you think i’m an idiot or don’t get why i did something. Likely the answer will be read dependent.

I have never had anything really bad happen to me crime related. I got kinda spoiled from it because crime in blacksburg is so low tho. People just leave their apartments unlocked and there’s never really a car break in. So I recently moved to a new place, which is a brand new condo and its really awesome. Problem is, its kinda on the train tracks of charlotte’s ghetto. The area is getting a make over but it isn’t there yet. So I had the garage of my place up until about 4 days ago when it was my roommates turn for the garage. She had been parking just fine in our parking lot for a month. I’m sure you can already see where this is going.

My car must have had a bulls-eye on it cause this is only the 2nd day i’ve actually left my car out in the parking lot and I come out to a large brick and glass EVERYwhere.

They managed to make off with my GPS unit and I HAVE A TRIP THIS WEEKEND! GRRRRRR. Honestly, the gps is such a good toy for me to stay mentally sharp as i just play mind games with mileages and arrival times. I really like it for that reason and the obvious, i don’t get lost in places i don’t know.

The thing tho, is my GPS unit was in the center console hidden and the stand for it which sticks to the window was in there with the unit! So there was no evidence other than i had suction dirt rings on my window that i even had the damn thing! There was a good chance this guy would have broken in and gotten nothing but alas he hit his life-style flush draw cause i’d say the thing is only in the car about 30% of the time.

Anyways, I had to take a half-day yesterday to deal with the shit. I have to pay a $250 deductible and my laziness with getting renter’s insurance has just bit me in the ass! So all said and done i’m out about $550, a few hours of time, and my piece of mind. I’m basically stupid naive of my surroundings as i always tend to think people will do the right thing, and i always knew i wasn’t right, but nothing had ever proven it before.

It does suck. So I’m not gonna buy another GPS unit as it seems to make my car a giant target in my neighborhood and honestly i don’t want to deal with this shit again. And the first order of business will be wiping off those dirt rings.

On a poker note, I played a session of $200nl last night as i said in my original may post. I ran very well, and felt myself back in my old form. I didn’t make a few mistakes that I was tempted to. I kept my head on very straight. I played with a few guys who have kinda turned into poker friends for me, by the names of AlwaysLimp and Using_It. They are pretty solid players, and are playing that limit. So i don’t get to play with them enough, as they aren’t ever playing the 400nl tables or higher. So that was fun. I made slightly over $800 last night, so my $200nl days are in theory over. However, i’m going to see how i feel when i play my next session, which likely won’t be tonight, as i’m going to be drinking. OHHHH and it looks like PT3 is finally coming together! Its getting close, i just pre-ordered it. I’m pumped for it.

Alright, well may is here and honestly I pretty much played a grand total of 1k hands this month.

I took a day off today from playing becuase i really wasn’t feeling it. I’m actually up i think around $200 at the moment which is obviously nothing. I am just trying to clear my head and come back to the game with a fresh new look. Like today, i finally caught myself thinking like i should. It was mid-coaching session and i just realized that i was doing half the stupid calls i was telling my students not to do.

Anyways, that’s enough about poker. I got call of duty 4 and grand theft auto 4 for my xbox. And honestly, i haven’t even touched GTA4 yet. COD4 is so nasty i can’t seem to pull myself away from it. Obviously, i still suck ass at it, but i’m getting better i think. Anyways hopefully, i find time to actually open GTA4 as its suppose to be very nice. But i’m just not that interested in single player missions so i think it was a better idea in the store than it is going to be in my house. I have a hunch i’ll just get bored.

Anyways, its not that i’m not blogging, its simply that i’m not really doing anything at all. I have gotten a few funny comments from people at 200nl asking if i was broke. I assure you I am not broke just getting my bearings back a little for half the buyins.
