March Graph and Screw Taxes

I had another pretty decent month overall. The equity i was bitching about yesterday got completely made up for in the past 2 days. I managed to catch up completely with it. It feels pretty sweet.

I knew coming into today, I had a session with my coach where I would be focusing on 2/4nl on FTP. I don’t have to give history lessons on the blog anymore, but I am familiar with most all of the regs. I decided to hope on to just see how I remembered the 2/4 games playing so I could have alot to discuss with him. Before I knew it, I had managed to rake in 5 buyins. It was great, and just helped my month out in a ridiculous way. Obviously I ran lights out, but I really didn’t feel out gunned like I use to. I then followed that with a second mind-blowing discussion, each of which I feel like is getting me closer to thinking like a stud player.

On the last poker note, I managed to have a great month (though i only played 30k hands). I ran at 11bb/100 so definitely broke my 8bb/100 plan. After my first quarter of poker, I’m about on course for my yearly fiscal goal (including rakeback). Its been a great time being pro so far, hopefully that continues in vegas.

Here’s my graph for the month:

Now onto part 2 of my post, Taxes! I just paid the gov’t an unreal amount of money from last years winnings, and I realized I’m not quite as rich as I thought I was haha. I knew it was gonna be a big number coming back from the accountant but what I got was a big number plus quarterlys for this year. Its pretty tough, but I guess complaining about paying too many taxes is really just complaining about having alot of money which I really shouldn’t do. However, I do not wish the checks I just cut on anyone. Hopefully, quarterlys will make up for that this year and I will never have to do that again. I made cashouts from my bankroll to compensate for the money that came outta my bank account, but i’m quasi-broke til I get those! Maybe i’ll have to sell the segway for drugs!

My first netflix movie came today. I saw ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and I thought it was hilarious. Having been through a pretty serious breakup in the past, I just had some many moments watching the movie where I was like, “good god this was me, I was f-ing ridiculous”. I laughed relentlessly through the movie. The next movie on my queue is another stupid comedy, ‘Role Models’. After that i’m moving more in the older movies I need to see direction. I haven’t seen a few movies I was really hoping to get to, and none of them are really comedies… so i guess i’ll just have to wait.

Anyways, I have no april goals. I want to just pass this god damn exam, and get ready for vegas for 3 months. Peace guys and good luck this month.
